Patryk Białas is an expert in innovation, EU funding and the energy transition, and Director of the Centre for Innovation and Competence at the Euro-Centrum Science and Technology Park in Katowice. He chairs the Building Decarbonisation Committee at the Polish New Mobility Association (PSNM).
For more than a decade, he has worked in technology transfer and attracting foreign investment in the energy sector. His responsibilities have included overseeing photovoltaic and smart grid laboratories. He also participates in European projects focused on the industrial transformation of Silesia, including TRANSIENCE under Horizon Europe and GeoSUSTAIN under the Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETP).
He is a member of Katowice City Council and chairs its Climate and Environment Committee. For many years, he has organised the #czystepowietrze campaign and served as coordinator of the Katowice Smog Alert. Previously, he was Development Director at the Kraków Technology Park and Deputy Director of the Regional Development Department at the Marshal’s Office of the Silesian Voivodeship.
