Maryna Gorobei

Dr Maryna Gorobei is a Smart City Project Manager at the Urban Technology Alliance (UTA), based in Geneva, Switzerland. An award-winning researcher with a track record of securing competitive research funding, she holds a PhD in Engineering and has over ten years of experience in environmental sustainability, climate action, digital transformation and technology-driven urban innovation. Her academic and research background includes postdoctoral research at the University of Geneva, as well as participation in climate initiatives such as 2050Today, supported at cantonal and Swiss Confederation level. She is also involved in European research and innovation projects supported by the European Commission and the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI). Within the Horizon Europe MICAD project, she contributes to comparative policy analysis and the development of inclusive climate and digital transition roadmaps and practical tools for metropolitan authorities, supporting the dissemination of project results and the transfer of good practices across UTA’s global network.
