Dariusz Joński is a Polish politician and Member of the European Parliament.
In 2024, he was elected to the European Parliament, where he is a member of the European People’s Party (EPP) Group. He serves on the Committee on Transport and Tourism, the Committee on International Trade, and the Committee on Petitions.
Before joining the European Parliament, Dariusz Joński was active in both local and national politics in Poland. He was elected to the Łódź City Council in 2006 and to the Polish Sejm for the first time in 2011. He was re-elected in 2019 and served as a Member of the Sejm until his election to the European Parliament in 2024.
Dariusz Joński holds a degree in Economics from Lodz University of Technology and completed postgraduate studies in Law and Administration at the University of Łódź.
In the European Parliament, he focuses on the development of Europe’s transport and industrial sectors, with particular attention to the future of rail transport and its role in economic development and European security. He is also closely engaged in discussions on the future of the European automotive industry, including the transition to electromobility, the competitiveness of European manufacturers, supply-chain resilience, and the conditions needed to protect jobs and attract investment across the sector.
