A graduate of the Silesian University of Technology, she co-founded MAŁECCY biuro projektowe in 1997 and continues to run the architectural practice together with her husband, Wojciech.
She is the co-author of numerous buildings, including the Faculty of Radio and Television building in Katowice, which was recognised as the world’s best brick architecture project at the Brick Award 2020. The building also received the Grand Prix for Best Architectural Project from the Association of Polish Architects (SARP), the Grand Prix in the 2017 BRYŁA Roku competition, the Polityka Architectural Award and the Best Public Space of the Silesian Voivodeship 2018 award, and was shortlisted for the 2019 European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award.
Together with Wojciech, she is a recipient of the prestigious Professor Zygmunt Majerski Medal, awarded by the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology.
She is also the co-author of Nowy Werdon in Ruda Śląska, a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Silesian familok residential building. The project was nominated for the 2022 European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award and received the Grand Prix in the 2020 Architecture of the Year competition organised by SARP Katowice.
In 2021, she received the Award of the Minister of Development, Labour and Technology for Outstanding Creative Achievements in Architecture and Construction.
In 2023, the revitalisation of a post-industrial building at Huta Pokój in Ruda Śląska received a distinction in the Architecture of the Year of the Silesian Voivodeship 2023 competition and was nominated for the 2024 Polityka Architectural Award.
In their private lives, she and Wojciech are the parents of four children.
