Dr hab. inż. Jacek Oskarbski, Professor at Gdańsk University of Technology, is a university professor in the Department of Transport Engineering at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Head of the Transport Systems Laboratory. He has been professionally associated with Gdańsk University of Technology since 1996.
His research focuses on traffic modelling and forecasting, intelligent transport systems, traffic engineering, mobility management, road safety and sustainable transport. He combines academic research with practical experience in the design and management of transport systems, including the development and application of the TRISTAR system in the Tricity area.
He has led or participated in numerous national and international research projects, including FLOW, CIVITAS DYN@MO, RID-4D and BATS. He is the author and co-author of numerous publications and studies on intelligent transport systems, transport modelling and traffic control.
He previously served as a member of the Board of ITS Polska and is currently a member of the Programme Council of ITS Polska and the Intelligent Transport Systems Section of the Transport Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
