Júlia Palmarola

Political Scientist and Jurist with over 5 years of experience at Metropolis, working at the intersection of international relations, metropolitan governance, and public policy. I bring a strong combination of strategic thinking, project management, and applied research, with experience working across international networks and with cities from diverse regions and institutional contexts. My work focuses on urban social innovation, care systems, and people-centred public policy, translating policy research and knowledge into practical initiatives and collaborative solutions. I have experience coordinating international projects, facilitating multi-stakeholder processes, and working with public institutions and urban stakeholders to develop and implement innovative approaches to complex metropolitan challenges. I hold a Master’s degree in Public and Social Policy from Pompeu Fabra University and Johns Hopkins University, as well as dual Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Law from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
