Rajmund Ryś is an expert in urban policy, spatial planning and urban regeneration, he provides consultancy and training services in Poland and as part of international projects. His previous professional experience includes work in central government administration.
He is a co-author of, among other initiatives, the National Urban Policy 2023, the Urban Regeneration Act, the 2015 draft amendments to the Spatial Planning and Development Act, as well as numerous local government strategic documents, evaluation studies and publications.
He is actively involved in promoting high-quality urban regeneration, including through running the “Ambitna Rewitalizacja” Facebook group.
He is a civil engineer specialising in bridges, roads and transport network planning, and a graduate of Cracow University of Technology, the National School of Public Administration and postgraduate studies at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
