Katarzyna Strzegowska

Currently the Director of the Public Transport Authority (ZTM) in Warsaw. Katarzyna Strzegowska holds a Master’s degree in Economics and is a graduate of the Higher School of Economics in Warsaw and the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.

She has more than 25 years of experience in the transport sector and is an experienced manager and expert in the management, supervision and planning of public transport. She has extensive knowledge and experience in delivering major investment, planning and development projects. She contributes to shaping Warsaw’s strategy and development priorities in the areas of mobility, accessibility and the development of Warsaw Public Transport, with a strong focus on social and environmental considerations, including environmental and climate protection. Her experience also spans commercial, economic and technical matters.

She actively supports the advancement and professional development of women in the traditionally male-dominated transport sector, while promoting young talent and equality. A Warsaw native with a strong affection for her city, she values working with people, teamwork, the ability to make a tangible impact and effective decision-making. She places particular importance on openness, dialogue and respect for others.

Her passion is travel, which allows her to relax and spend time with those closest to her, while also observing everyday life in other places and cities, where residents—and, naturally, public transport—are an integral part of the urban experience.
