Agata Wojda has been professionally active since 2006. She began her career in the private sector, working in roles related to employment services, promotion, recruitment and the organisation of training programmes. She holds a degree in political science from the Świętokrzyska Academy in Kielce.
She has worked in public administration since 1 February 2008. At the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Office, she served as Press Spokesperson for the Voivode. She has initiated and co-organised numerous community events, including the Great Kielce Knowledge Test.
She has many years of experience in local government. Between 2010 and 2024, she served as a member of Kielce City Council, including as Chair of the Council’s Urban Planning, Architecture and Environmental Protection Committee. She also served as Chair of the Young Democrats Association. She co-created and supported numerous community and civic projects, including the initiative to establish the Youth City Council in Kielce and the organisation of European Days.
Her mandate as a city councillor expired on 15 April 2021 when she was appointed Second Deputy Mayor of Kielce, a position she held until 31 August 2023. On 7 May 2024, she took office as Mayor of Kielce.
In 2025, she was named “Person of the Year” at the Smart City Awards, which recognise innovative projects and strategies supporting the development of modern, resident-friendly cities.
She is actively involved in charitable and voluntary work. She does this through being an honorary blood donor, a volunteer with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) and a participant in fundraising campaigns for the restoration of historic graves at Kielce cemetery. She has supported initiatives benefiting the local community for many years. Animal welfare also holds a particularly important place in her activities. She supports the local animal shelter, promotes adoption and advocates initiatives aimed at making the city more friendly to animals and nature, including measures to protect bees and hedgehogs and efforts to reduce the use of fireworks.
In her public activities, Agata Wojda consistently presents herself as a modern, open and responsible local government official. For many years, she has worked with commitment to support the development of Kielce, improve residents’ quality of life and strengthen the local community. Her work is characterised by responsibility, openness to public dialogue and an ability to respond effectively to residents’ needs. She also places particular emphasis on supporting young people and creating opportunities for them to pursue their ideas and aspirations.
