Dr Marta Adamczyk, Professor at the Upper Silesian Academy, is Rector of the Wojciech Korfanty Upper Silesian Academy in Katowice. She is an experienced leader and management expert who has combined academic achievements with managerial practice throughout her career. She has more than 20 years of professional experience, gained in successive management positions leading large teams in areas including marketing, the organisation of education and the operation of the university’s external branches.
She specialises in leadership, building effective teams, communication and employer branding. As a lecturer and trainer, she supports managers in developing their leadership and strategic competencies.
Under her leadership, the Upper Silesian Academy has significantly expanded its national and international cooperation and implemented innovative solutions tailored to labour market needs. She consistently develops a modern, open and relationship-oriented model for the university, creating an environment that supports the development of students, academic staff and institutional partners.
She is President of the Foundation for the Promotion of Science and Academic Sport and Vice-Chair of the Programme Council of the Silesian Federation of Polish Entrepreneurs. She is also a member of the Council of the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Katowice, the Supervisory Board of the Polish Education Union, the Strategic Council of the AI LAW TECH Foundation, the Forum for Cooperation between the Silesian Voivodeship Government and universities in the Silesian Voivodeship, the Sectoral Council for Competences in the Marketing Communications Sector, the Katowice Branch of the Polish Economic Society, the Programme Council of the Class Ladies Foundation, the Business Council of the Upper Silesian Academy, and the International Association on Public and Nonprofit Marketing.
