Frederico Rosa holds a degree in Social and Cultural Communication from the Portuguese Catholic University (PT), as well as postgraduate qualifications in Human Resources Management from ISCTE (PT) and in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge (UK). He has also undertaken training in Scenario Planning at the University of Oxford (UK), High‑Impact Team Leadership at the Kellogg School of Management (USA), Leadership of Innovative Organisations at the MIT – Sloan School of Management (USA), and Negotiation at Harvard Law School (USA). He holds a Diploma of Advanced Doctoral Studies in Management from ISCTE (PT).
He was a company manager in the fields of renewable energy, marketing, and advertising, having been elected CEO of the Year and Best People Manager 2016 in the Best Team Leaders awards.
Since 22 October 2017 Frederico Rosa is the Mayor of Barreiro Municipality and Chair of the Board of Directors of Transportes Coletivos do Barreiro. Moreover, he is the currently the President of the Intermunicipal Community of the Setúbal Peninsula since December 2025 and he is also the President of the Regional Council of CCDR‑LVT since January 2026. From October 2021 to July 2024 he served as the Vice‑President of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.
