Mayor of Pabianice, Grzegorz Mackiewicz has extensive experience in local government at every level. He has chaired several committees and served as Chair of the City Council, Deputy Mayor from 2011 to 2014, and Mayor of Pabianice since 2014. He was elected by the residents of Pabianice to both his second and third terms in the first round of voting.
He also worked at the Pabianice County Office as Head of the County Council Office and Head of the Department of Social Infrastructure and Civil Affairs. He previously served as Marketing Department Manager at the Pabianice Tool Factory.
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Łódź. In 2014, he completed postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Finance and Management of the WSB University as part of the Local Government Leaders Academy. In 2021, he completed postgraduate MBA in Community Management studies at the Krakow University of Economics, followed a year later by the Public Leadership – Strategic Management programme at the Heweliusz Institute.
