Jarosław Flakowski holds a PhD in Social Sciences in the field of Political Science from the University of Silesia in Katowice. He is also a graduate of the Management 3.0 postgraduate management programme and postgraduate studies in project management at the Wrocław University of Economics and Business.
From 2018 to 2021, he served as Deputy Director of the Department of Infrastructure and Transport at the Marshal’s Office of the Lubuskie Voivodeship. He subsequently served as Director of the Department of Economy and Development until May 2024, where his responsibilities included implementing the objectives of the Lubuskie Voivodeship Development Strategy 2030 and the Innovation Development Programme. He has more than 10 years of experience in implementing projects financed by EU funds.
He also works as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Regional Policy at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Zielona Góra. Since 8 May 2024, he has served as Second Deputy Mayor of Zielona Góra.
