Martin Burgat

Martin Burgat is a Policy Officer at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE), working on policies supporting the transition towards sustainable and intelligent transport.

He has over a decade of experience at the crossroads of EU transport policy and industry, with a particular focus on heavy-duty road transport, decarbonisation, connectivity and new mobility technologies. Before joining the European Commission, he held regulatory positions in the private sector.

Martin holds a French-German double degree in European Affairs and Political Science from Sciences Po Lille and the University of Münster, as well as a degree in Public Administration from Université Paris Dauphine-PSL.
