Alex has been working in the public sector of Ukraine for over 10 years, with a focus on infrastructure development, investment and public finances. Currently, as the Deputy Minister of Finance since August 2020, his area of direct competence includes budgeting for Ukraine`s recovery projects, supporting key sectors of the economy, financing infrastructure and transport development, and managing expenditures for CO2 emissions decreasing. Throughout his career, he has been directly involved in infrastructure development projects. Alex served as the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and led the Reform Support Team of State Road Agency. Alexander started his career as stock market analyst at Ukrainian investment company working on projects in investment analysis and advisory for foreign portfolio investors. He also spent time as investment banker for drawing foreign direct investments to Ukrainian private companies. Alexander later worked Director at UBS Investment Bank AG (Switzerland) on a range of issues from IPOs and M&As to improvement of investor environment in Ukraine and other European and Asian countries.
