Rita Jacinto is a Programme Manager in the City of Lisbon, Portugal. Rita is an urban mobility expert, specialised in pedestrian and interface accessibility, who has collaborated with local government to influence and provide decision support on urban planning and policy with a focus on gender mainstreaming, planning for a care and proximity city, and developing strategic ways to improve the accessibility and mobility opportunities for the most excluded groups in urban areas. Rita manages a pilot-project promoting the safety of women in public spaces and access to public transport in a Lisbon neighbourhood, and has a track record collaborating with EU-funded projects and international city networks.
