Super Early Bird tickets for KNM 2025 are now available. The largest sustainable transport conference and EXPO in the CEE region will be held on September 23-25 at the International Congress Centre (MCK) in Katowice, on an area of 12,000 square meters. The event is organized by PSNM, and the host of next year’s edition is the Metropolis GZM (Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowska Metropolia). The conference will be attended by over 8,000 participants, including representatives of the European Commission, central administration, local governments and leaders of the e-mobility industry from around the world.
For the sixth time, Poland will become the European capital of zero-emission transport and new mobility. In the face of challenges and the beginning of Poland’s presidency of the European Union, high-ranking politicians, EU and national decision-makers, representatives of central and local administration and industry, city leaders, diplomats, the world of science, start-ups and all other market stakeholders will meet at the New Mobility Congress. The program of next year’s event will cover all the most important political, economic, regulatory, market, technological and social issues related to the mobility and energy transformation.
– Next year’s edition of the New Mobility Congress will be a unique forum for the most important stakeholders in the sustainable transport sector. KNM 2025 will take place in a new market and regulatory reality related to, among others, the application of increased emission reduction targets for passenger cars and vans. In this context, it is becoming increasingly urgent to strengthen the competitiveness and reindustrialization of the European Union in the face of the expansion of manufacturers from other regions of the world. In order to implement the obligations imposed in the field of decarbonization (including those resulting from AFIR), Member States need more effective support instruments. Our ambition is for key stakeholders to develop solutions during KNM 2025 that support the sustainable transformation of the CEE region, in particular in the economic dimension – indicates Aleksander Rajch, PSNM Board Member.
Around 4,000 participants took part in KNM 2024, including over 400 speakers from all over the world. The event program included 160 debates, workshops and substantive presentations. Over 150 partners and exhibitors appeared at KMM, 20 industry premieres took place, and zero-emission technologies were presented on 5,000 square meters of Expo space. The conference organizers announce that in 2025, these numbers will be doubled.
– Although for years Upper Silesia and Zagłębie were associated with heavy industry and mines, today they exude green energy and surprise with modernity. We are very happy that the New Mobility Congress is moving from Łódź to Katowice. Together we will organize the most important event of the sustainable mobility and zero-emission technologies sector in this part of Europe – says Kazimierz Karolczak, Chair of the Management Board, Metropolis GZM.
PSNM emphasizes that the ongoing transformation towards zero emissions creates a historic opportunity to significantly strengthen the competitiveness and innovation of the Polish economy. Provided that appropriate support instruments are implemented, the new mobility is able to generate an additional 5% of Poland’s GDP by 2050. Such significant potential is confirmed by the areas in which Polish companies are already making their presence felt in European supply chains, including the battery industry, production of zero-emission buses and charging stations.
– The cumulative value of electric vehicles sold worldwide by 2030 may increase to USD 9 trillion, and by 2050 – USD 63 trillion. That is why it is so important to support the diversification of the companies activities that focus on the supply of components for conventional vehicles and to create optimal conditions for investors in the area of new mobility. Many strategic industries need a new vision, including heavy transport and logistics, and in the longer term aviation and sea freight forwarding – says Łukasz Witkowski, Vice President of PSNM.
KNM directs its offer not only to the industry, but also to local governments, whose representatives attend the event in large numbers every year.
– The main goal of the new mobility is the development of societies, improving their quality of life and health. Sustainable development means progress in each of the most important dimensions: social, environmental and economic. Annual losses related to air pollution in Europe already amount to approx. EUR 600 billion. This is just one of many different challenges, the answer to which is the development of new mobility and changing mobility habits – comments Agata Wiśniewska-Mazur, Deputy Director for Organizational Development at PSNM.
