José Chen

José Chen is a Medical Doctor in Public Health from Portugal. He holds a degree in Medicine, a Master’s in Health Economics and Management, and a PhD in Global Public Health. Postdoctoral Researcher at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (IS Global), Researcher at the NOVA National School of Public Health in Lisbon, and Research Fellow of the Lancet Countdown in Europe, José is leading the special urban scale report on climate change and health of the Lancet Countdown in Europe, while also contributing to the development of the regular report in the region. He is also a European Climate Pact Ambassador, focusing on bringing health to climate discussions.
