Mattia Pellegrini is currently Head of Unit for “Clean Air, Noise, Urban Policy and New European Bauhaus” at DG Environment, European Commission. Previously, he served as Head of Unit for “Waste Management & Secondary Materials” at DG Environment and for “Raw Materials, Metals, Minerals and Forest-based Industries” at DG Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs.
Earlier in his career, he served as Head of Cabinet to Commissioner Nelli Feroci and as a Member of the Cabinet of the Vice-President of the European Commission, where he was responsible for Enterprise and Industry and, previously, Transport.
Mr Pellegrini holds a Master’s Degree in European Legal Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in EC Law and a Degree in Political Science from L.U.I.S.S. “Guido Carli” University in Rome.
