Maria Perkuszewska is Head of the Innovative and Sustainable Mobility Division in the Department of Transport Strategy at the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Minister of Infrastructure’s Representative for Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans.
She has nearly 18 years of experience in the transport sector. While working for the manager of Poland’s railway infrastructure, she was responsible for coordinating strategic and innovative projects, overseeing bilateral and multilateral cooperation, and contributing to the European Union legislative process. She also has experience in managing EU co-financed projects involving multiple beneficiaries.
In her current role as Head of Division, she is responsible for coordinating the implementation of European policies in the areas of urban mobility, transport safety and energy efficiency, as well as measures to reduce the negative environmental impact of transport.
Since 2017, she has served as the National Coordinator of European Mobility Week in Poland.
Since 2022, as the Minister of Infrastructure’s Representative for Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans, she has headed the Competence Centre for Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMP).l/
