Reduction of energy consumption
We save and use electricity efficiently throughout the congress. From 2024, MCK will be powered exclusively by renewable energy. Thanks to RES, the annual CO² production in MCK and the neighboring Spodek is reduced by 5,044,956 kg.
Emission reduction
As part of the congress, we will launch an EV Shuttle for special guests. There is a charging zone for partners arriving in electric cars. We encourage our guests to use public transport and city bicycles.
Reduction of consumption
Organizing events generates emissions, not only from transport, but also those resulting from catering, accommodation and technology. When planning an event, at every stage, we try to make it as circular as possible – less plastic and printing, more segregation and recycling. MCK introduced reusable cups for serving drinks during the event – thanks to this, we minimize the amount of waste per year (230,000 fewer disposable cups not thrown away, i.e.: approx. 1,500 kg of plastic in the form of garbage).
Supply reduction
We choose local, sustainable suppliers. We promote reusable dishes, reduce food waste. We support vegan catering, which has lower costs and environmental impact than animal products. Catering operators serving MCK and Spodek implement a number of ECO activities on their own scale in connection with the production and serving of food. We have also introduced a system to reduce water consumption
