Thanks to the hospitality of the Mayor of Katowice, Mr. Marcin Krupa, the first local meeting of the members of the New Mobility Congress Program Council 2025 took place on Friday, March 7 at the Katowice City Hall. The meeting was devoted to the role of the Congress in the context of the region’s challenges.
– What are the key issues from the perspective of the socio-economic development of the region? This is how I would describe the purpose of our meeting. We talked about the role of Silesia, the Metropolis and the city in the global energy and mobility transformation – from mining, combustion, high-emission industrial activity to creating new opportunities and development possibilities in the model of a green and environmentally friendly economy and lifestyle. In the coming years and decades, Katowice will be a modern, green, emission-neutral city, and intelligent mobility, integrated public transport, shared vehicle networks, electric bikes, as well as automated vehicles, are the means to achieve this goal – said Maciej Mazur, Managing Director of PSNM.
The general objective of the Council is to provide opinions on the program assumptions and to exercise content supervision over the Congress program, as well as to propose program initiatives and thematic scope, formats and speakers for the conference. On March 31, the next meeting of the Program Council will be held, with a broader set of guests, this time in Warsaw.
This year’s edition of the New Mobility Congress promises to be as active, diverse and inspiring as never before.
