Mikel Berra Sandín is Project Officer for Digital Metropolis at the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, where he develops strategies and partnerships that leverage digital tools, data and AI to strengthen metropolitan planning, governance and public services. He is trained as an architect and urban planner, with a degree in Urban Planning from MIT, and his work combines research, design, and the implementation of public policies. He has worked for government agencies and urban planning firms on three continents, and his urban design and research projects have received awards in the United States and Europe.
