Paweł Smoliński has been associated with the Office of Technical Inspection (UDT) since 2009. He began his career there as an Inspector in the Department of Technology and subsequently served as Nuclear Energy Team Coordinator, Head of the Energy and Qualification Certification Division, and Head of the Technical Services and Testing Methods Development Division. From 2019, he served as Director of the Innovation and Development Department.
He was responsible for preparing UDT for its role in the construction of nuclear power plants in Poland. He implemented innovative technical testing methods and solutions supporting inspection activities. An experienced manager, he has extensive expertise in management, nuclear energy, energy transition, international cooperation and legislation, as well as in the delivery of large-scale projects.
He has represented UDT in TIC Council, the international association of testing, inspection and certification organisations, and at international forums in areas including nuclear energy and e-mobility.
He obtained his engineering degree from the Faculty of Mechatronics at the Warsaw University of Technology, where he also completed postgraduate studies in nuclear energy. He also completed postgraduate management studies at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
